Win one week's full board at the fabulous Villa Dinari in wonderful Marrakesh

Marrakesh has it all. A fascinating history, glorious weather, the largest traditional souk in Morocco and one of the busiest squares in the world – it's the perfect placeto enjoy good food.

The vibrant Djemaa al Fna square bustles with acrobats, story-tellers, water sellers, dancers and musicians and at night food stalls open, turning it into a huge, busy, open-air restaurant. Moroccan food is one of the most sensual in the world, a unique blend of African, Arabian and European influences. The result: a cuisine characterised by subtle scents, delicate flavours and elegant presentation. It appeals directly and unashamedly to the senses of smell, sight and taste in a way that no other cuisine can match. Eating is serious business. And never more so than at Villa Dinari a boutique hotel, situated just outside the city.

A veritable oasis of calm, this is the place to relax and wind down when the whirlwind of exploring the souk, the El Bahia Palace, or the Majorelle Gardens gets too much! Built in 2001 by Heather Griffiths and her husband Abdel Benhrima, the Villa Dinari is an intimate home from home for the many guests who have discovered it by accident and who return year after year. "We bought the land in 2000 and started work the following year," says Heather. "We kept the design traditionally Moroccan using many materials sourced locally for authenticity, but we made sure we included modern touches too such as a gym, iPod docks and air conditioning. There is a real family atmosphere. We make guests very welcome, and many go home feeling as if they were staying with friends."

Food is an important part of the Villa Dinari experience. Head cook, Nezha, has been with Heather and Abdul since the hotel opened and she oversees all the menus. Her signature dish, Sweet Tagine with Lamb, Pears and Toasted Almonds, is a regular on the dinner menu, and is universally adored by guests, as are her Apple Briouates (filo cigars) with Vanilla and Caramel. Breakfast is usually a traditional Morrocan affair of homemade yoghurt with local honey and raisins, plus Moroccan Mesmn (pancakes) with honey or jam. But dinner is a veritable feast of locally-grown produce, like Briouats, Kefta with eggs, Berber Tagine and Makfoul – imaginatively laced with spices such as cumin, paprika or turmeric.

Nicky Allen, who owns eponymous fashion label Box2, is a regular visitor and she even uses the Villa Dinari as a backdrop to her fashion shoots. "It's the perfect location for me," she says, "From here I can get into Marrakesh itself very easily, then onto the Palmeraie for a glorious desert experience, finally back for a glass of local wine and a swim before dinner. I love it".

And now you can have the chance to visit Marrakesh for yourself, because Box2 is delighted to offer one lucky couple the opportunity to win a week at the glorious Villa Dinari. This special prize includes breakfast and dinner each night as well as a full day tour of the City of Marrakesh complete with your own personal guide. * Flights and airport transfers not included.
